BROADWAY FIT

An aerobics-style dance class designed for musical theatre lovers of all levels and backgrounds. Whether you are a beginner, or a more advanced dancer looking for a fun, energetic workout, Broadway Fit is for you. The instructors, all 5th Avenue dancers, create an encouraging, light-hearted, and fun atmosphere for all skill levels. Each class includes a warm-up that focuses on stretching and flexibility, a cardio-workout focusing on strength, and a fun dance combination set to your favorite show tunes. 

Drop in Mondays and Wednesdays for our Winter Session of classes!

All classes are held at The 5th Avenue Theatre, with the exception of classes on February 29 and March 7 which will be held at Theatre Puget Sound (TPS). Click on the TPS box to the right for directions.

The 5th’s Oklahoma! Delves Into Deeper Issues of Race

Join  The 5th Avenue Theatre’s Executive Producer and Artistic Director David Armstrong and  Choreographer and Spectrum Dance Theater Artistic Director Donald Byrd for a  discussion about the portrayal of race in the current presentation of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Oklahoma! Called “provocative” by the Seattle Times, this new production features an African American actor as the antagonist, sparking vigorous discussion among audiences about racism both in 1906-7 (when the musical is set), and in society and the arts today. For more information, click the Show Talk Schedule icon to the right.
