A Workshop for High School Students

On Tuesday April 6, 2010, The 5th Avenue Theatre will present a special workshop for high school students (ages 14-18) with a strong interest in the technical aspects of musical theatre. As part of the workshop, participants will have the opportunity to sit in on a technical rehearsal of On the Town and meet with the creative and production team, as well as some cast members from the show. Workshop participants will also enjoy a pizza dinner and receive one (1) ticket to the first preview performance of the musical on April 11, 2010.

Workshop Participants will:

  • Participate in a backstage tour of the theatre.
  • Sit in on a technical rehearsal of On the Town and witness first-hand how a professional musical is put together.
  • Meet with some of the creative and production team behind, On the Town to learn how the show was created.
  • Enjoy a complimentary pizza dinner.
  • Receive one (1) ticket to the first preview performance of On the Town on April 11, 2010.
  • This workshop is open to all high school students with a strong interest in the technical side of musical theater. This is not a performance workshop.

Date/Time: April 6, 2010 6:00pm-9:00pm

Tuition: $20.00. Tuition includes workshop and dinner on April 6 and, as an added bonus, one (1) ticket to the preview performance on April 11.

Space is limited for this workshop. All registrations must be received by Wednesday March 31.
