Backstage Tour
Get a closer look at Seattle’s premier musical theater showplace after the show. You’ll enjoy a guided tour of the lobby, backstage, stage and auditorium of this magnificent architectural gem. Discover intriguing facts about our vaudeville past, learn the inspiration for our Theatre’s design, hear stories about our resident ghost, and visit the Wall of Fame.

Cost: $100 per guide (20 attendees maximum per guide), plus the cost of tickets
Conversation with the Cast and Crew
After the show, join The 5th Avenue Theatre’s Associate Artistic Director, Bill Berry, along with guest actors, directors, designers and crew members. Discuss topics from the show and gain insights into the making of a musical.
Group Size: 20–1,000

Broadway Dancing 101
A professional choreographer or dancer from a current performance will lead this lively dance class. You’ll learn basic steps from one of the show’s dance numbers, as well as tips on executing tricky dance steps. Once you’ve mastered the moves, your group will perform on the 5th Avenue stage.

Acting 101
In this exciting class, a professional acting coach will teach voice and movement exercises, designed to bring a show’s script and score to life. Then your group will get to rehearse a scene from our current show.

Broadway Singing 101
Here’s your chance to perform in a Broadway chorus. Rehearse a song from our current production with The 5th Avenue’s Music Director, and then perform on stage with one of the performers from the show. You can even record your performance to commemorate the event.

The Works: $2,000 for two wireless body microphones and/or free-standing microphones, stage lighting, and a CD recording of your performance
Stagecraft
Learn how performers fly on stage, how to fit 184,960 cubic feet into 2,270 square feet—and more. The 5th Avenue Theatre’s outstanding stage crew will teach you the tricks of the trade during this fascinating workshop.

Brown Bag Lunch
Enjoy an informal lunchtime chat with Associate Artistic Director Bill Berry and his guest panelists, including performers, directors, designers, and crew members. Discuss the current show’s themes, the making of the show, or American musical theater in general - whatever your group prefers.

Pre-Show Reception with Producing Artistic Director David Armstrong
Host a reception in one of the Theatre’s beautiful spaces and hear behind-the-scenes stories from David Armstrong about the show you’ll be attending.

Time: Approximately 15–30 minutes

Cost: Catering, plus the cost of tickets (the reception space is complimentary with a group order of 50 or more)
Breakfast or Lunch with Producing Artistic Director David Armstrong
Hear what it really takes to produce a Broadway musical. As a director, choreographer and producer, David Armstrong has plenty of intriguing stories to share. This event can be designed as an intimate gathering for smaller groups, or a lecture-style arrangement for larger groups.
Group Size: 10 and up

Live Performance, Hosted by Producing Artistic Director David Armstrong
Enjoy a private performance by some of Seattle’s finest talent and hear backstage stories about The 5th Avenue Theatre and Broadway musicals. Performers and members of our artistic staff will travel to your venue for this one-of-a-kind event.

Please note: Because The 5th Avenue Theatre is a working theater, all events must be scheduled with consideration toward our rehearsal and performance schedule.
