April 18, 2009 was truly the Best Party of the Year
On Saturday April 18th, more than 400 friends of The 5th celebrated the magic of musical theatre at our annual fundraising gala. We were able to raise over $295,000 in support of our mainstage productions and our Educational and Outreach programs, such as Adventure Musical Theatre and The 5th Avenue High School Musical Theatre Awards.
Many thanks to our friends at Sazerac for providing the delicious food and drink for the evening. The hottest selling auction item of the night was a party for 100 in the Theatre Lobby with entertainment by our great friends Billy Joe and The Dusty 45’s, event planning by Dennis Warshal and catering by Palomino. Our heartfelt appreciation goes out to all the talented members of the Gala committee who helped the make the night so successful.
