The Run Time for Austen's Pride is approximately 2.5 hours, including one intermission.
Productions begin promptly, so please arrive at least 15 minutes early. Lobby doors open 45 minutes before the show and seating begins 30 minutes before the curtain.
Guests arriving late will be seated at the first suitable pause in the performance in the least disruptive location. Most productions at The 5th include a brief "seating hold" at the beginning of each Act (generally no more than 15 minutes). If we are unable to seat you in your ticketed location, an usher will help you find your seat at intermission.
All performances will take place as scheduled, regardless of weather conditions.
The 5th Avenue Theatre welcomes children 4 years of age and older. Children under 4, including babes in arms, will not be admitted. Complimentary booster seat cushions are available first-come, first-served at Aisles 1 and Aisles 7/8.
Some shows deal with mature themes and may not be appropriate for all guests. Content advisories are posted on each show page on this website or click here to view the season all on one page. Content Advisories are based solely on the text of the script, so there may be additional sensitive content based on the direction of the show which we are not aware of until the show opens. Trigger warnings (smoke/haze, strobe lights, gunshots, etc) will be posted in the lobby when you attend a performance.
What to Wear
There is no formal dress code; however, we encourage thinking of "Coming to The 5th" as a special occasion. Attire generally varies from business casual to cocktail dresses and suits.

Food & Drinks
Our restaurant partners at Palomino have an extensive selection of snacks, cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages for purchase on both levels of the lobby before the performance and during intermission. Drinks may be pre-ordered for intermission. Candy and beverages purchased at the lobby concession stand may be brought into the theater. The 5th Avenue Theatre Boutique by White Branches
Our new boutique operator, White Branches, has you covered for all of your show-specific and 5th Avenue Theatre merchandise needs, as well as gorgeous masks, jewelry, and other exquisite boutique items. The boutique is located on the ground floor of our lobby between Aisles 2 and 3.
*Touring productions generally travel with their own merchadise offerings and operations and The 5th Avenue Theatre Boutique by White Branches will usually be closed.
Cameras & Recorders
Taking photos or video during the performance is strictly prohibited.
Smoking (including vaping) is not allowed in any part of the theater nor within 25 feet of the theater entrance.
Concern for our guests' safety has always been one of our top priorities. As such, we have implemented increased security at The 5th in both visible and non-visible ways, including a hired security firm at all performances. Large bags, backpacks and oversized purses may be subject to inspection.
No firearms of any kind are allowed in any part of the theater.
The following is a partial list of prohibited items that are not permitted inside the theater. The 5th Avenue Theatre management reserves the right to prohibit other items as deemed necessary.

The 5th Avenue Theatre does not own or operate our own parking garage; however, there are numerous parking options in downtown Seattle. We recommend visiting the following independently-run website to help you better research your options: www.parkopedia.com

The resulting map will not only show you pricing for each nearby garage, but whether or not the garage has accessible parking, maximum height clearance, electric vehicle charging, overnight parking and more.
AN IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT EVENING RATES:
Some garages offer special evening and weekend rates. When taking advantage of a garage’s “evening rate,” please note carefully the start time for that rate (usually 5pm). If you enter the garage and take a parking ticket BEFORE that posted time, you will likely be charged the more expensive, hourly rate for your entire stay upon exit. The 5th Avenue Theatre is unable to refund or assist in disputing any parking garage charges. Similarly, if you are planning on continuing your night out after the show, please also carefully note the closing time for the garage and plan accordingly.
One of the benefits of subscribing to all of the shows in a season is free parking at our partner garages. Subscribers with smaller packages may also purchase discounted parking vouchers at the time of their subscription purchase for the number of shows in their package. The 5th Avenue Theatre does not sell individual parking vouchers on a show-by-show basis.

The WAC parking garage is NOT on the same block as the WAC. Continue one block beyond WAC as you drive down 6th Avenue and look for the WAC Parking sign on the left.
Formerly known as The Hilton Parking Garage, LAZ 6th Avenue Garage has accessible parking stalls and is the closest garage to The 5th Avenue Theatre.
Union Square garage is the closest subscriber garage for our annual co-production with ACT Theatre.
City Centre (also known as U.S. Bank Centre) has accessible parking stalls, multiple elevators, electric charging stations, and is the home of one of The 5th ’s restaurant partners, Palomino (located on the 3rd Floor). It is a one-block partially-covered walk to the Theatre.
Please note that since August 2017, the Rainier Square Parking garage has been closed due to construction on the new Rainier Tower.

MORE INFORMATION ABOUT FREE & DISCOUNTED SUBSCRIBER PARKING:
Vouchers for free parking are issued when season tickets are mailed. One parking voucher is issued for every two season tickets. Guests who order smaller packages may purchase discounted parking at the time of their subscription order online, by mail, or by calling 206.625.1900. Vouchers are valid starting two hours prior to the performance during the hours of the garage's operation and cover a maximum of five hours, beginning when you enter the garage. Please keep your vouchers in a safe place. We are unable to offer a replacement if vouchers are lost, stolen or forgotten. Exchanges, refunds or transfers are not permitted. Vouchers are not valid before 5:00 PM on weekdays.
HOW TO USE YOUR VOUCHER:
6th Ave Garage (formerly known as the Hilton Hotel Garage)
Take a parking ticket as you enter the garage. To exit, please swipe or scan the garage ticket you received when entering and then scan the barcode on the back of your parking voucher. Be sure to discard the used parking voucher as each barcode is only valid for one use.
City Centre Garage
Scan the barcode on the back of your parking voucher at the entrance scanner machine that says “5th Avenue Subscribers scan parking here.” Do not take one of the garage tickets. When you exit the garage at the end of the night, scan the same bar code to exit. Be sure to discard the used parking voucher as each barcode is only valid for one use.
WAC Parking Garage
Take a parking ticket as you enter the garage. Proceed to the pay station attendant before returning to your vehicle and provide the attendant with your 5th Avenue Theatre parking voucher. The attendant will return your "paid" WAC parking ticket, which you will use upon exiting the garage.
Union Square Garage
Take a parking ticket as you enter the garage. An attendant will take your parking voucher upon exiting.
The parking garages at City Centre and LAZ 6th Ave both have accessible parking and elevators and are located within one block of the Theatre.
LAZ 6th Ave Garage is connected to the Theatre via an underground concourse; however, if you are in a wheelchair, it will be faster to exit on the street level, not the concourse level, and go around the block to the Theatre’s marquee entrance. If you would prefer using the concourse level, a 5th Avenue Theatre usher can escort you to the Skinner Building’s elevators. If you do not see one of our ushers at the bottom of the stairs leading up to The 5th Avenue Theatre, please call coat check at 206.625.1294. The building’s elevators will take you to the Skinner Lobby, and you will then still have to go outside and travel one-half of a block uphill to the Theatre’s marquee entrance.

Buying Tickets at The 5th
The 5th Avenue Theatre operates its own safe, secure, in-house ticketing service. When purchasing tickets online, you have access to the same “best available” seats as you do when you call in. Performances that are close to being sold out may be removed from the website. Last-minute tickets for full performances are available only by phone or at the Box Office. Please plan your ticket purchases carefully. All sales are final. There are no refunds. Season tickets may be exchanged without an additional fee; single-show tickets are assessed a fee for exchange privileges. Log in to your online account to exchange your tickets no later than 24 hours before your scheduled performance.

Lost Your Tickets and Need a Reprint?

We can reprint your tickets and have them available for pick-up at the Box Office Will Call window on the day of the show. If your show is today, no need to call - just go directly to the Box Office Window for assistance.
If you are responding to a 5th Avenue ticket promotion, you will receive a promotion code to use. If you are ordering by phone, give the promotion code to the guest services representative when you call to place your order. If you are ordering online, enter the code in the promotion code box provided when you log into your account.
For many shows we offer several kinds of Day-of-Show tickets for purchase at the Box Office. All Day-of-Show and See-It-Again tickets are subject to availability, section limitations and ticket limits. Please visit each individual show page for that production's discount offers. The 5th Avenue Theatre will periodically allocate discounted tickets to Goldstar and TodayTix and is a TeenTix partner venue.
Facility & Service Fees
Facility fees help us maintain our historic theater. A facility fee of $6.00 is charged to every ticket purchased.
A service fee of $9.75 is charged to tickets sold online and by phone. Service fees help to cover the considerable cost of providing online and telephone services. The cost of mailing tickets to patrons is also included in the service fee.
The service fee is waived for tickets purchase in person at the Box Office.
Scalpers & Third-Party Tickets
The 5th Avenue Theatre DOES NOT allocate tickets to outside ticket brokers or resellers. Our only trusted outside partners are TodayTix and Goldstar. We cannot verify the authenticity of tickets purchased from any other agencies or brokers. Tickets purchased through scalpers, brokers or other third parties may be counterfeit and inadmissible. Also, please be aware that ticket brokers may add substantial fees on top of the price they paid for the tickets that they are reselling. We have no control over the fees they charge their customers. We strongly encourage you to purchase your tickets directly from The 5th Avenue website, Guest Services phone number or from the Box Office. When you purchase from us, you will get the most current seat information, the best availability, the best prices, and all of your money will go to support the great musical theater you see on the 5th Avenue Theatre stage.

The 5th Avenue provides American Sign Language-interpreted performances for hard-of-hearing and Deaf patrons. Reserved seating located close to the ASL interpreters is available for our guests needing those services*. Ticket prices for ASL performances vary. To purchase tickets to individual ASL performances online, visit www.5thavenue.org/asl.
To purchase ASL tickets on a mobile device, select the ASL interpreted date you want to attend. Enter promo code ASL by tapping on the box under the show title. Once your code is applied, tap "Get Tickets" to select your seats in the front of the orchestra level on the left side of the house.
*These seats are reserved for our Deaf and hard-of-hearing guests who require the services of an interpreter and for their companions. For students learning American Sign Language, we offer a student discount for our ASL performances. Please contact Guest Services at 206.625.1900 or visit our box office to discuss seat availability in a nearby section at the student rate.
Open captioning designed for those with mild to complete hearing loss so you can enjoy theater as never before. Performances with this service feature a text display located to the left side of the stage. The dialogue and lyrics of the show scroll across the display in synchronicity with the actual performance. Now you can catch quick punch lines, fast-patter lyrics, and hushed dialogue. Wheelchair seating space is located on the orchestra level (main floor) of the auditorium. The seating is located House Right at the end of rows F, K and P and House Left at the end of rows G, J and Q. If you’re seated in the balcony level and stairs present a challenge, we can provide you with elevator assistance. However, please note that all balcony seating involves negotiating some stairs. You may proceed directly to the lobby of Skinner Building (located at 1326 5th Avenue, 4 doors north of the Theatre's main entrance) where an usher will meet and assist you. You may also request assistance when you arrive at the main theater marquee entrance,and we will be happy to escort you to Skinner Lobby. Access to the mezzanine is only available beginning 30 minutes prior to the performance.
The 5th Avenue Theatre has Sennheiser Listening System headsets for patrons who are hard-of-hearing. We also offer inductive neck loops that work with select hearing aids in the "telecoil" setting. Both devices are complimentary, but subject to availability with a photo I.D. You may reserve a headset when you purchase your tickets. Braille and large print programs are both available, free of charge, at Coat Check, located in the lobby near Aisle 3. Programs are checked out with a valid I.D. and should please be returned at the end of the performance. Braille programs are subject to availability.
