About The 5th Avenue Theatre's Youth Arts Education Programs:
All fundraising for this event benefits The 5th Avenue Theatre’s Youth Arts Education programs, serving more than 75,000 youth across Washington. Included in these programs are Adventure Musical Theatre Touring Company sharing​ the history and culture of the Pacific Northwest with youth throughout Washington. Rising Star Project, which immerses high school students in the world of musical theater and, through direct mentorship and hands-on learning; they emerge as confident leaders, competent professionals, and connected human beings. With The 5th Avenue Theatre Awards, judges watch over 100 high school musicals across the state and the awards honor outstanding achievement, while celebrating the hard work and dedication of both students and educators.

Grand Tour

Patron-level members ($600+) will visit the spaces rarely seen by the public: our Costume Shop, hair and makeup areas, the actors' dressing rooms, and more. Travel the path of an actor, peek into normally closed doors, and find out even more about the historic 5th Avenue Theatre on this exclusive look behind the scenes.

Friend-level members ($125+) join us for a guided tour of the theater--including the opportunity to come backstage and onstage for a closer look at the sets and props.

Our tour guides will lead you through the history of The Theatre, dive into fun facts about the current show, and share some of the magic of how The 5th Avenue Theatre puts on a musical.

Designer Download

Partner-level members ($300+) enjoy a wine and cheese reception and hear from members of the creative team about their artistic vision. Writers and composers delve into the process of a show from day one, designers share the decision-making process that goes into creating the sets, costumes, or lights for a show, or directors describe the show from rehearsals to the final product.

Tech Week Rehearsals

Friend-level members ($125+) join us at working rehearsals in the theater and watch as the pieces of the show all come together to create the final product that will be presented to our audiences. Before we head into the theatre, artistic leadership for the production will give a pre-rehearsal talk to share even more details. 

Patron-level members ($600+) are invited to come to the theatre early for a reception before the rehearsal begins.

Adventure Musical Theatre Performance

Friend-level members ($125+) watch our Adventure Musical Theatre Touring Company perform the show that they bring to schools throughout the Northwest. Our touring company comes home for the day to share this unique performance with our members.

Since 1994, the Adventure Musical Theatre Touring Company has brought the wonder and joy of live musical theater to students throughout Washington state. Adventure Musical Theatre musicals engage students through storytelling, song, and dance. Our productions are created by local composers and writers and are designed to incorporate standards-based educational content.

Children and grandchildren are welcome and encouraged to attend!
